Ski mask ram raid on Hedge End bank

Police are hunting ram-raiders who used a silver Ford car to smash their way into the Hedge End’s HSBC bank on Wednesday.

At about 5pm two men wearing ski type masks and hi-vis vests entered the store and grabbed several cash boxes  cannot confirm the amount stolen at this time.

Several staff were present at the time of the robbery, were shaken but unhurt.

Detective Sergeant Claire Shawley at the Western Investigation Team said:

“This was a busy time of day. Although it was dark, lots of people were around driving to and from work or using local shops. were you in this area at this time? Did you see any suspicious vehicles? We are appealing directly to anyone who saw two people in Hi-Vis vests in the area at the time. Did you walk by them or see them near the row of shops? Please get in contact.”
