Two very brave staff members at Eastleigh based One Community have signed up to do a Skydive to raise money for a project supports young carers – 8 to 18 year-olds who are affected as a result of having someone in their home that may have a disability, long term terminal illness, mental health issue, or an addiction.

Kylie Barton who works in the research department, and volunteers with the young carers, and project activity worker Bippa Dosanjh will take the 10,000ft leap on May 7

The pair have both wanted to do a skydive for charity for some time, and finally took the plunge and booked the event last week.

Kylie confessed:

“Doing a sky dive for a charity close to my heart has been a lifelong ambition of mine, and in doing so I will be forced to overcome my fear of heights!”

The plucky pair aim to raise over £1000 will go towards providing young carers with much needed respite.

You can sponsor Bippa and Kylie online, or by popping into the One Community office on Romsey Road.
