Eastleigh midfielder and captain Ben Strevens have been given the number two spot at the Silverlake Stadium until the end of the season.

This is somewhat getting a tradition for owner Stewart Donald who appointed defender Chris Todd as manager this season.

Strevens will also follow in the footsteps of former Eastleigh striker Craig McAllister who was made player/assistant manager at the beginning of last season.

The 35 year-old former Barnet forward has replaced Shaun North who was thought not to be fitting in at the club  got appointed back in October last year.

Strevens is currently serving a seven match ban after allegedly spitting.
