Last night the Liberal Democrats won the Borough and Town Council By-elections for the Hedge End Wildern Ward following the resignation of Cllr Emma Norman.

The results of the Hedge End Wildern By-Election were

BURCOMBE-FILER, Ben Conservative Party 263

CORBEN, Ian Howard Liberal Democrat 672 Elected

CROW, Terence Henry Labour Party 107

The turnout was 25.48%.

The overall composition of the Council is now

Liberal Democrats – 38

Conservatives – 6


There was also a Hedge End Town Council By-election.

The result was as follows:

BURCOMBE-FILER, Ben Conservative Party 161

DAY, Keith Philip Labour Party 80

MORRIS, Clifford George Liberal Democrat 380 Elected

The turnout was 26.5%
