Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has hosted local 6th Form student Kate Heinrich-Jones for two days of work experience in her Westminster office and says she is keen to attract more students to experience working in Westminster.
The MP said:
“Work experience is such a helpful way for young adults to explore potential careers, and I am always delighted to provide my constituents interested in politics with the opportunity to spend some time in Westminster or my Constituency Office.”
Kate Heinrich-Jones, who is studying politics said:
“I enjoyed my time in Parliament, and had a really valuable insight into an MP’s day-to-day schedule. I attended various meetings and events, and it was great to sit in the House of Commons and House of Lords to watch the debating take place.”
The MP is inviting young adults who may be interested in pursuing a career in Parliament to apply for work experience in her Westminster office.
