Local twirlers taste Florida success

A local Baton Twirling Corps has tasted international success.

The Harmony Twirlers took a team  ( Donna Sayles-Jones, Catherine Tall, Vicky and Mia Talman) to the TwirlMania International competition in Florida

The competition which was held at the ESPN World of Sports, drew over 3,500 competitors and after three days of competing the team of Donna Sayles-Jones, Catherine Tall, Vicky and Mia Talman won three first places .

On the final Team day they were joined by Nicky Jones and Lorna Tall for a Drill Team event , and achieved another first place.

Donna Sayles Jones also won the coverted Novice Miss Twirl Mania 16 +  and the whole team took part in the Twirlers Light Parade at Disney’s Magic Kingdom which they described as an “amazing experience.”

Harmony Twirlers are keen to recruit new members to join them at their training sessions at Pavilion on the Park, Eastleigh, on Tuesdays. 5.30-7pm for younger members, and 5.30-9pm for the senior members and offer free starter sessions.
