Staff and customers at Sainsbury’s in Eastleigh will be raising funds and raising a laugh for Red Nose Day.
Over the next few weeks, Sainsbury’s staff all over the UK will be working hard to raise money for the annual charity event which this year takes place on Friday 24 March.
Fundraising activities at the Eastleigh store will include lucky lollipop game, medieval stocks, colleagues dressing up, guess the name of the bunny, hook a duck and lots more all taking place to raise as much money as possible.
Eastleigh store manager Charlie Bird said:
“Our colleagues love getting involved with Red Nose Day fundraising and we’re all really proud to support such a great cause. There are some brilliant activities planned this year and we look forward to inviting customers to join in with the fun.”
Customers can now pick up one of the official Red Noses as well as other merchandise to support Comic Relief.
This year, there are ten Red Noses in special surprise bags – nine red ones and an Ultra Rare Silver one called ‘Frankinose’.
At least 60p from each £1 Nose goes to make a real difference to ordinary people, living tough lives, in the UK and across Africa.
Other items on sale include wristbands, badges and deeley boppers, alongside brand new items including a mug and foldaway reusable bag.
Sainsbury’s has supported Comic Relief since 1999 and has raised more than £100 million for the charity to date, thanks to the support of customers and colleagues alike.
