Promotion for Eastleigh MP in reshuffle

Eastleigh’s MP Mims Davies has been promoted in this week’s government reshuffle.

Davies who first entered Parliament for Eastleigh in 2015 had previously been a Parliamentary Private Secretary in in the DCLG, she now becomes an Assistant Government Whip – which is a ministerial role.

The ‘very excited’ MP told Eastleigh News she was to proud to be “the first female Minister for Eastleigh in an historic well-balanced whips office” and predicted “busy times” but insisted that “Looking after Eastleigh is still my number one priority.”
