Eastleigh narrowly got beat away to relegation-threatened Barrow as the hosts gave themselves renewed hope of beating the drop with a 3-2 win.
Barrow’s Asa Hall nodded in a corner from Lewis Walters to put them 1-0 up after 15 minutes.
In the second half, Chris Zebroski equalised for the Eastleigh when he coolly rounded goalkeeper Steve Arnold, but within seconds Barrow went back in front when Donovan Makoma smashed in past Graham Stack.
Walters seemingly secured victory late on, following up on the rebound after Nathan Waterston had hit the post.
But substitute Ben Williamson pulled one back for Eastleigh late on, and remarkably the Spitfires were denied by the woodwork three times late on.
