Charity festival comes to Royal Victoria Country Park

GROWFest is a free entry, fun and safe festival for Adults with Learning, Mental and Physical Disabilities in Southampton’s Royal Victoria Country Park Oaks BBQ Area on Sunday 3rd June from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Come rain or shine!

GROWFest 2018 includes live music from the Big Town Boppers, a BBQ, Magician, Sensory Tent, Cay & Als Sundaes, Emergency Services (unless called out!), festival face painting, Mocktail Making by the Orange Rooms, Juggler, GROWPong, Sweet stand, Ukulele Jam so far with more to come. We also have a Celebrity Guest attending but this will not be announced until nearer the time which we are very excited about.

The festival have been very lucky so far with kind donations of time from local businesses supporting and attending the festival. They still have space if any businesses or community groups want to give a new experience to our audience.

The GROW Project Day Service team thought it would be a great way of bringing Adults with Learning, Mental and Physical Disabilities together to enjoy a new experience, for care providers to unite together and to promote inclusion and integration in a safe, fun environment and to showcase what can be achieved if everyone worked together.

Last year was the first year and although on a smaller scale was still a success despite the weather! Everyone that attended last year had a wrist band, inflatable and shutter glasses upon entry so it resembled a mini ‘Glastonbury’.
