Staff and friends of local charity Relate transformed into 70’s punk rockers and 50’s pink ladies at their Charity Fundraising Dance and Supper on 21st April at St Mary’s Football Stadium. Futuristic space cadets rubbed shoulders with 60’s hippy chicks and the wonderful Lindy Club of Eastleigh brought 30’s and 40’s charm with their energetic and hugely entertaining dance display.
This colourful spectacle was all to celebrate the past seven decades of Relate counselling for local couples and families, whilst looking ahead to a bright future following the recent merger of Relate Solent with Relate National.
As Chris Sherwood, Relate’s CEO, said
‘we look to the future for a bigger, better, bolder Relate. We can help more people by enjoying the benefits of a larger charity whilst still having the flexibility to respond to local need’.
