Dr Phil Hammond charts the history of the NHS with new show Happy Birthday NHS?, playing at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 7th December.

Hammond has worked in the NHS for 31 years while making a name for himself as a broadcaster, journalist, author, campaigner and comic. With a love for his work, Phil says happy birthday to the British institution with an evening of comedy, visiting the historic city for one night only this December.

Hammond is known for co-presenting BBC1’s Heaven and Earth and has been a broadcaster for BBC Radio 4, as well regularly appearing in Dictionary Corner on Countdown. A popular stand-up comedian at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Happy Birthday NHS at Theatre Royal Winchester is a fantastic opportunity to witness a unique blend of comedy. Audiences are invited to cheer the heroes, boo the villains and look to the future of robot surgeons, Fitbit nurses and iPhone GPs at this timely – and extraordinarily funny – comedy show.

Dr Phil Hammond’s Happy Birthday NHS – suitable for audiences aged 14+ – is at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 7th December at 8pm. A limited number of tickets are available from the Box Office on 01962 840 440.
