Two Eastleigh teens have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a man arrested in suspicion of causing GBH following a violent incident on the Pirelli estate last night (December 21).
Police were called to Heinz Burt Close at around 10.15pm where a 23-year-old man, from Winchester was found with a serious head injury. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where his condition is currently described as life-threatening.
A 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, both from Eastleigh, have both been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder while a 48-year-old Bursledon man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Neighbours said they heard “screams” and saw “blood everywhere” in what has been reported as a “doorstep attack”.
Police say that the victim’s next of kin have been informed and that they intend to carry out house-to-house enquiries in the area.
