Eastleigh drop two points in Hampshire derby

Paul McCallum scored Eastleigh’s two goals

Havant & Waterlooville’s Dan Strugnell scored a last-minute equaliser to earhis club a 2-2 National League draw with Ben Strevens’ Eastleigh.

Paul McCallum had netted a first-half brace before the hosts mounted a second-half rally.

McCallum opened the scoring with his 13th goal of the season six minutes before the break when he got on the end of a Danny Hollands cross to head home.

And just two minutes later he followed up with another goal, this time he got on the end of a free-kick from Mark Yeates to head in.

Tyler Frost came close to pulling one back after 52 minutes but his effort from 30 yards hit the post before Alfie Rutherford missed a penalty for the hosts.

Andy Robinson then headed home with 10 minutes left before Michael Green was shown a red card and Strugnell tapped home from close range to earn a point.

Eastleigh take on Ebbsfleet United away on Saturday as look to get back to winning ways.
