The ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy arrives in Hampshire next week as the ICC and the Hampshire Bowl host four exciting events which will see the silverware showcased in different locations across the county.
The trophy, which will be lifted by the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup winners at Lord’s on 14 July, will be transported around England and Wales in a Nissan Leaf and make its way to Hampshire as part of four key events taking place across the county on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th February.
These events will see the trophy feature at a street cricket showcase at the Southampton Guildhall and a heritage event at the Bat & Ball Inn, Hambledon on Sunday 24th February, as well as a school’s cricket festival at Places Leisure, Eastleigh on Monday 25th February.
The Hampshire Bowl, one of eight venues to be used throughout this summer’s competition, will welcome Members and supporters to the Ageas Bowl Atrium on Monday 25th February, as the trophy visits the location at which five World Cup fixtures will be played this June.
