Hampshire Achieve Record-Breaking ticket sales

Hampshire Cricket are pleased to announce record-breaking Vitality Blast Passport and Priority Ticket sales after unprecedented early interest.

Following the launch of a brand new ‘Early Bird +’ offer for the 2019 season, the Club’s seven-match T20 Passport product – which allows access to all of Hampshire’s action-packed Vitality Blast matches at the Ageas Bowl for just £99 – has been hugely popular, with a 217% year-on-year increase in sales seen since being made available in late November.

Ahead of individual Vitality Blast match tickets being released for general sale on Monday (4th March) at 10am, there has also been overwhelming interest following a priority on-sale period this week, with a 29% year-on-year increase in the tickets snapped up across all fixtures.

Hampshire Cricket Head of Marketing, Harry Walklin said: “The unprecedented interest shown in our T20 Passports and throughout the recent Priority ticketing period has been fantastic. This summer’s Vitality Blast – with four Friday night fixtures, two Sunday matches and a potentially decisive Thursday night contest – promises to be the Ageas Bowl’s biggest yet and early demand suggests Hampshire fans are wasting no time in securing their place.’’

Hampshire’s quest to reach an eighth Vitality Blast Finals Day begins on Friday 19th July (7pm) with fans treated to the always anticipated ‘el clasicoast’ clash against Sussex Sharks as the season-opening fixture at the Ageas Bowl.

A huge home clash against Surrey on Friday 16th August is the highlight of four fixtures in August with matches against Somerset (Friday 9th August), Essex (Sunday 25th August) and Middlesex (Thursday 29th August) also scheduled.

Alongside all of the on-field action, a range of free family-friendly activities will also be available at matches once again this summer, helping to deliver unforgettable family days out at the Ageas Bowl. The venue was recognised for its outstanding family experience at last December’s ECB’s Business of Cricket Awards, taking home the ‘Welcome Families Award’.

As part of the venue’s off-pitch offering, fans will also be able to take advantage of a range of excellent ‘festival style’ food and drink concessions again this year – as well as live music at the ground ranked as having the best view in English cricket.

Tickets for all of this summer’s fixtures at the Ageas Bowl, including discounted Early Bird tickets to the seven huge Vitality Blast contests, is available now online. over the phone on 0844 847 1863 or in person from the Ageas Bowl Ticketing and Membership Office during normal working hours.

Situated an hour or less away from London, Brighton, Portsmouth and Reading, the Ageas Bowl is easily accessible for anyone living in the South of England. With excellent transport links from all major train stations and ferry terminals in the area, as well as a Park & Ride Scheme, it couldn’t be easier to get to and from the ground.
