The Live Theatre Winchester Trust, the charity that runs Hat Fair – the UK’s longest running Outdoor Arts Festival – is looking for volunteers to help at this year’s festival. Hat Fair 2019 runs from Friday 5 – Sunday 7 July. The festival takes place throughout the city centre on Friday and Saturday and at North Walls Recreation Ground on Sunday.
Last year marked Winchester’s 44th free, annual event, welcoming over 70,000 visitors to the city, and hosting nearly 400 professional performers, including dancers, musicians and circus acts, as well as numerous colourful installations and lively workshops for all to enjoy.
A jam-packed three days, it needs a wealth of volunteers to keep it running like clockwork – to help set up, tend to performers, raise money, or direct people around the city.
If you’d like to lend a hand at one of the UK’s most vibrant events, all you need to be is aged 18 or over, friendly and responsible.
In return you’ll gain valuable festival experience, meet countless impressive performers from around the globe, as well as meals and refreshments to keep you going.
So whether you’re looking for a unique experience this summer; want to meet new people; or learn some brand-new skills, look no further than Hat Fair.
