Sunday’s Hendy Eastleigh 10k has been named as one of the best 10k races in the country by the leading running magazine, Runner’s World.
The annual race – which will start from Fleming Park at 10am on Sunday morning (March 24) – features in the Runner’s World top ten 10k races and recognises that runners flock to Eastleigh for the fast, flat course that provides runners of all abilities with a great chance of a personal best time.
Runner’s World describe the event as follows:
“Those who travel to Eastleigh do so with one thing in mind: a PB. The flat course, while not exactly gorgeous, attracts a fast field and plenty of club runners from the south. There’s great support en route, too, and the organisation is excellent, meaning that you only have to concentrate on one thing: hitting that new time goal”
Race Organiser, Steve Collins said,
It’s fantastic for the Hendy Eastleigh 10k to be recognised nationally by the industriy’s leading magazine. It’s a real team effort with lots of local groups and organsitions helping to stage the event and the people of Eastleigh really get behind the race as well – making it a real community effort”
“With great support from Hendy the event is now one of the biggest and best 10K’s in the UK with many top class runners from throughout the country setting off alongside hundreds of fun runners, many of whom will be raising money for charity.”
