The former Hampshire County and Councillor is standing in the Eastleigh Borough Council elections for the Fair Oak and Horton Heath seat.
He thinks the local Liberal Democrats are operating local housing policy based on national decisions. While these might be good decisions nationally, he thinks the fact that no one is questioning housing numbers locally is “crazy”.
Brexit struggles aside, Martin hopes anyone other than Liberal Democrats win seats these elections to bring a different voice to local council debates.
Also standing in Fair Oak and Horton Heath on May 2 are:
Steve Broomfield – Conservative
Michelle Marsh – Liberal Democrat
Jill Payne – The Labour Party
Jack Stapleton – The Green Party
