Ben Strevens’ Spitfires will face Wrexham on Thursday (7pm live on BT Sport) in the play-offs as their fate was determined with a 3-3 draw away to Boreham Wood.

Keiran Murtagh scored a second-half equaliser for Boreham Wood as the hosts came from two goals down to draw wit a youthful Eastleigh side in the National League at Meadow Park yesterday.

The Spitfires led on the half hour when Jack McKnight found Ollie Dennett and, from an acute angle, the striker found the target.

Ralston Gabriel levelled for the hosts when he broke through the back line and rounded Ross Flitney to slot home.

Callum Baughan set up Oscar Gobern early in the second half to restore Eastleigh’s lead with his first goal for the club and McKnight increased the advantage with his first for the Spitfires also just four minutes later.

Boreham Wood substitute Bradley Ash reduced the arrears and Murtagh completed the comeback with a 30-yard effort.
