Paul Merton Impro Chums 1

The resident guest on BBC Radio 4’s Just A Minute – who was a founder member of the improv group, The Comedy Store Players, and still regularly appears at the Comedy Store in London – shares the stage with fellow performers of the group, Lee Simpson and Richard Vranch – who together co-wrote previous tours of Merton’s.

Joining them are Suki Webster whose own improv show, Suki Webster’s Guest Speaker continues to grow; comedian and film and theatre actor, Mike McShane (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, A Bug’s Life), with musical accompaniment from Kirsty Newton who featured as musical improviser for Whose Line Is It Anyway? at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017.

Merton – whose autobiography, Only When I Laugh, reached The Sunday Times bestseller Top 10 – is also known for travel series, Paul Merton’s Adventures, which took him to India, China and Europe.
