Danny Hollands’ stunning extra-time goal secured Ben Strevens’ Spitfires place in the National League play-off semi-finals and end Wrexham’s hopes tonight.
Hollands settled a tight play-off eliminator with a volley into the top corner from outside the box.
Eastleigh will travel to Salford in Sunday’s semi-final (live on BT Sport 3pm) with the final on 11 May.
Wrexham’s loss means their stay outside the Football League will extend to a 12th season.
Luke Young and Akil Wright had first half chances for Wrexham while at the other end Rob Lainton denied Eastleigh’s Hollands and Mark Yeates.
Wrexham captain Shaun Pearson’s header struck the crossbar before team-mate Kieran Kennedy had a goal disallowed after keeper Luke Southwood was adjudged to have been fouled.
The home side continued to press and Stuart Beavon hit the crossbar but neither side could break the deadlock and the game required extra time.
Eastleigh substitute Chris Zebroski headed over from Yeates’ cross while Wrexham’s Jason Oswell also cleared the bar with a header.
Jermaine McGlashan almost made an immediate impact after coming on for Wrexham but Southwood made a good save to deny him.
But it was Eastleigh who finally took the lead in time added on at the end of the first period of extra time through Hollands’ sweetly struck volley. Watch the goal below courtesy of BT Sport.

Pearson and Kevin Roberts both had headers cleared off the line but ultimately it was heartbreak for Bryan Hughes’ side.
