Eastleigh appoint new women’s manager

Eastleigh Football Club are thought to be delighted to announce Steve Davies as the new manager for their women’s team. Leaving AFC Bournemouth Women, Steve will bring with him a wealth of experience after spending the last 3 season with the Cherries. His successes included gaining 2 promotions, 3 Cup Finals and reaching the First Round proper of the Women’s FA Cup.

Before the Cherries, Steve helped get Wimborne Town Women’s promoted to the South West Regional League and also worked at Hampshire FA’s Girls Centre of Excellence as well as Dorset FA’s Advanced Coaching Centre for Girls.

Of the appointment, Steve commented on the official club website:

‘Following three successful seasons with AFC Bournemouth Women, I have felt for a while that I needed a change. I am therefore very pleased to have agreed to work with Eastleigh, starting next week with our trials for the 2019/ 2020 season. I’d like to thank Mike and Gazz who, following our recent meetings and discussions, made my move across a very easy decision and it is a great time to join Eastleigh FC with some exciting developments planned. I look forward to working with them, the players and Club and can’t wait to get going.’
