Ben Strevens’ Spitfires drew 1-1 to Sutton United in what was a frustrating evening for Eastleigh.
Former Eastleigh assistant manager Matt Gray took Sutton United to the Silverlake Stadium in front of 1,750 fans.
First, Rob Atkinson headed Eastleigh in front at the back post, only for former Spitfires Jamie Collins to force in a leveller shortly afterwards all in the space of the first 15 minutes.

Joe Partington had a shot from a long throw from Jack Payne and Smart won a free kick but the resulting header went over and the match finished 1-1. Eastleigh now take on Stockport County away on Saturday as they look to get back to winning ways.
