Ben Strevens’ Spitfires are still without a win since the opening game of the season as they lost 2-0 away to Stockport County yesterday.
Adam Thomas scored his third goal in three games as Stockport extended their unbeaten run to four games with a victory against Eastleigh.
Elliot Osborne’s long-range effort completed the scoring a second as County continued to enjoy their return to the National League.
The Spitfires went close early on as Ben Hinchliffe saved well from Ben Williamson, while at the other end Osborne’s long-range effort went narrowly wide.
Stockport made the breakthrough 14 minutes into the second half when Connor Dimaio squared for Thomas to tap in.
Hinchliffe denied Williamson and substitute Tyrone Barnett as Eastleigh pressed for an equaliser, but Osborne ended the contest when he let fly from 25 yards and beat goalkeeper Max Stryjek in the 83rd minute.
Eastleigh take on Dagenham & Redbridge at home on Saturday as they look to get back to winning ways once again.
