Fans of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing will enjoy two original shows from stars of the popular TV series – Ian Waite, Vincent Simone and Neil Jones – coming to Theatre Royal Winchester next year.
Ian and Vincent appear next May with a brand new show, Act 2 – The Ballroom Boys, featuring old-fashioned variety, dance, comedy and song.
The show presented by Ian – a regular on Strictly’s sister show, It Takes Two; and Vincent – who choreographs the Argentine Tango routines seen on the main show; Act 2 follows the success of their previous five-star tour, which came about after the pair decided they wanted to bring to the stage something ‘completely different’ to the tours already on offer, featuring their peers.
Then in June, Neil Jones – whose appearance on Strictly this year is actually his first partnered with a celebrity, other years he has been in the group dances – presents Gingerland, his first UK tour.
Direct from his directorial and choreographic debut at Sadler’s Wells in London, Neil will introduce the people who have influenced him as a dancer and demonstrate why he is a three-time World and eight-time British Champion.
Ian Waite and Vincent Simone: Act 2 – The Ballroom Boys is on Sunday 24 May 2020; Neil Jones’ Gingerland is on Sunday 28 June 2020. To find out more, including performance dates and times, and book tickets, visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01962 840 440.
