Where to recycle your Christmas tree

Real Christmas Trees can be recycled at a number of collection point between 2-14 January at the following sites:

  • Brambridge Garden Centre, Brambridge
  • Lakeside Country Park, Eastleigh
  • Haskins Garden Centre, West End
  • Woodhouse Lane Car Park, Hedge End
  • Mortimer Road Car Park, Botley
  • Hound Parish Hall, Woolston Road, Netley
  • Household Waste and Recycling Centre – Shamblehurst Lane, Hedge End
  • Household Waste and Recycling Centre – Knowle Lane, Fair Oak
  • Household Waste and Recycling Centre – Woodside Avenue, Eastleigh
  • Household Waste and Recycling Centre – Grange Road, Netley

Residents who subscribe to Eastleigh Borough Council’s garden waste scheme, can leave their trees out for collection on their scheduled garden waste collection day by placing it next to the garden waste bin. The council will only collect trees that are up to 4ft in length, but longer trees can be cut down to size.

Cabinet Lead for Environment and Sustainability Cllr Rupert Kyrle said in a statement

“Our Christmas  Tree recycling service is a very popular scheme with local residents. Last year many hundreds of trees were recycled in an environmentally friendly way.  I encourage everyone to recycle their Christmas trees for free at one of the sites throughout our borough.”

If visiting HCC waste recycling centres in the New Year be aware that the County Council will be introducing charges in 2020 for householders using unregistered vehicles. Read more here
