National League strugglers Eastleigh and Aldershot had to settle for a share of the spoils following a goalless draw at the Silverlake Stadium in front of 2,139 fans with 307 travelling fans.
Eastleigh, who went into the game on the back of four successive defeats, had the better of the first-half chances with Danny Hollands’ deflected shot being saved by Mitchell Walker, who also thwarted Scott Rendell moments later.
Joe Partington and Rob Atkinson headed other opportunities wide while Eastleigh keeper Max Stryjek showed fine reflexes to foil Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong at the other end.
Mohamed Bettamer fired a decent opening into the side-netting from a tight angle for Aldershot and was then denied a winner by a fine save from Stryjek late on.
The Spitfires take on Woking this Saturday as they look to get back to winning ways.
