The Together, We Make Eastleigh programme of events continues in Eastleigh Town Centre on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm until 26 September.
The two main streets have been closed to traffic to allow safe social distancing while people shop, eat and drink – and enjoy the entertainment.
Audiences have been enjoying a range of pop-up fun events as they spend time in the reopened town centre. Attractions so far have included interactive live storytelling, a digital trail for all the family, live music and even a roaming octopus!
Chair of Eastleigh Local Area Committee Councillor Tina Campbell said:
‘I’m delighted that we are providing some entertainment and activities for visitors to Eastleigh town centre. The Together, We Make Eastleigh programme of events has been put together by the team at The Point, Eastleigh and it provides safely distanced entertainment and will help bring residents and visitors into the town.
‘We are committed to supporting our shops and businesses and we want to do all we can to help them trade successfully.’
