Council Collaborating with Eastleigh College to support skills led Covid-19 recovery

Council

Eastleigh College has pledged to proactively collaborate with The Council to serve employers and communities during the immediate Covid-19 recovery. They will do this by expanding their service and offering to provide vocational training for all eligible applicants, including a minimum of 500 new apprentices.

The new government incentive payments for apprenticeships means businesses can receive up to £3000 funding per new apprentice hired between 1 August 2020 and 31 January 2021.

The team at Eastleigh College is helping employers to:

  • Apply for the funding
  • Recruit the right people
  • Develop the skills they need to recover and grow.

Businesses in the Borough are being urged to work with the college as part of their COVID-19 bounce back pledge, if you’re interested please email c19pledge@eastleigh.ac.uk. They aim to reply within two working days.
