Eastleigh beat Enfield Town 5-0 reach FA Trophy 4th Round

Ben Strevens Spitfires eased into the Buildbase FA Trophy Fourth Round with a dominant 5-0 victory over Enfield Town at the Silverlake Stadium.

Jake Hesketh stole the show with a hat-trick whilst Josh Hare and Andrew Boyce impressively completed the scoring.

The deadlock was broken as Ryan Hill delivered a perfect cross to the back post for Hesketh, who fired the ball home on the 37th minute.

A second followed before the break as Hill was again integral to the attack, this time playing in Hare as the advancing right back to calmly slot the ball under the goalkeeper to double the Spitfires’ lead at half time.

On the 49th minute Hill was once more involved, grabbing a hat-trick of assists for himself, as he played a perfect through ball for Hesketh to roll into the bottom left corner.

The fourth goal came in the 70th minute as defender Andrew Boyce unleashed an unstoppable volley right into the top corner.

Hesketh finished off the scoring as Sam Smart teed up his teammate who struck the underside of the bar, with the ball appearing to hit the back of the defender before it crossed the goal line.

The Spitfires will take on Notts County away in the fourth round on Saturday 15 January 2022
