Bishopstoke hit by two break-ins

 Blue Police Lamp
Burglars have struck twice in Bishopstoke’s Hamilton Road police report.
On Thursday, October 25, an 87-year-old woman woke to find her front door insecure and her laptop computer missing from the dining room.
The computer is a bright red Dell Inspiron 1545.  No other items were missing.
On Halloween night, between 5 – 8pm, a family went out trick or treating.  While they were out, someone forced a 5ft 6in high side gate, damaging it, and entered the house through an insecure side door.
When the family returned, they saw that an untidy search had been made of the house, with drawers opened and a suitcase of clothes emptied on the floor.  However, they reported no thefts.
Eastleigh PC Donna Kay is investigating both incidents:
“We need to know if anyone saw something out of the ordinary in Hamilton Road on the nights of October 25 and 31,” she said.
“Especially on Halloween night, there were lots of people in the area as families went trick or treating.  It is possible someone saw something unusual.  We also need to know if anyone has been offered a bright red Dell laptop since October 25.
“This also seems a good time to remind people to lock all doors and windows and keep valuables such as laptops and games consoles out of sight,”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Kay at Eastleigh on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111.
