If you have been thinking of a making a fresh start this New Year by starting your own business, then it’s time to get your skates on and put your business plan into action – the deadline for applications for Eastleigh Council’s ‘Business Start Up’ grant is January 11th!
Since April the council has been promoting new businesses by offering £500 to new start ups in the Borough – Businesses who might otherwise find cash hard to raise from the credit crunching banks.
However as the financial year draws to a close funds are running low, so this could be the last opportunity for a while to apply.
To qualify, you must be starting a business in the Borough or still be in the first 3 months of trading.
If your business is already established, you might still qualify for assistance. The Council is also offering grants to help with business premises and for growing your business.
Anyone who fancies taking a shot at becoming the next Alan Sugar or Richard Branson (pictured) can find out more about the help that is on offer by visiting the council website eastleigh4business or by ringing Anne Dawson on 02380 688334.
