Door kicked in on Winchester Road

Burglars who kicked in a door on Winchester road chandlers ford last Tuesday afternoon (February 19) left empty handed.

This is the second burglary in the area within the last couple of days and Police say that people had been seen in the area door knocking shortly before the incident.

Residents are asked to make sure that their doors are kept locked when working outdoors or upstairs and that any personal belongings such as handbags are not easily accessible.

Any concerns regarding any suspicious callers should be reported to the police who are investigating the burglaries. Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident are asked to call Police Staff Investigator (PSI) Steve Murden at Easteligh Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
