Eastleigh pull back three goals to earn replay in FA Cup Forth Qualifying Round

A second half comeback saw Ben Strevens’ Spitfire draw 3-3 with Folkestone Invicta to earn a fourth round qualifying replay.

The winners of tomorrow night’s tie will face Boreham Wood away in the First Round.

Eastleigh were much improved in the second half as goals from Ryan Hill and Tyrone Barnett set up a second half comeback, before Christian Maghoma completed the fightback with the final quick of the game.

A cross from the right by Josh Vincent found Alfie Paxman, who fired home from close range to give Folkestone the lead inside three minutes.

Folkestone doubled the lead as Maghoma brought down Adam Yusuff inside the area to give away a penalty on five minutes and Paxman stepped forward and coolly converted from 12 yards to double The Seasiders’ lead on six minutes.

The visitors soon made it 3-0 after 18 minutes as scored a third through Scott Heard.

Vincent Harper won a penalty following an excellent run up field as Hill stepped forward to and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to set Eastleigh up for a comeback on 57 minutes.

Five minutes later, the The Spitfires made another dent in Folkestone’s lead when Barnett headed home from a Sam Smart cross.

Maghoma completed the comeback with the final kick of the game to send the Silverlake Stadium into raptures.
