OAP couple tied up and robbed at home

An elderly couple have been left traumatised after masked men burst into their home and tied them up before ransacking the house.

Detectives in Eastleigh have launched an investigation into the burglary in Wellow Drove, Wellow.

The couple who are aged in their 70s were watching television in their bedroom at around 9.30pm on Thursday, November 22, when they heard two loud bangs. Soon after, three people dressed in dark clothing and masks entered their bedroom.

The offenders bound and gagged the startled couple before searching the couple’s home.

Detectives are keen to identify the offenders and are appealing for witness or anyone with information.

Anyone who was in the area between 9pm and 10.30pm who saw or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact Eastleigh District Investigation Team on 101 quoting Operation Randall.
