Pat’s Sandwich Bar has won a gift card loaded with £250 as a reward for signing up to the new Eastleigh Borough Gift Card. The sandwich shop, in Market Street, Eastleigh was chosen at random in the competition run by the Council to urge more businesses to sign up to the scheme, which encourages residents to shop local.
Customers can spend the Eastleigh Borough Gift Card at businesses across the Borough, from cafes, pubs and restaurants to florists and beauticians. The process for signing up is simple – businesses just need to be set up to accept Mastercard in order to take advantage of this offer.
The gift card is available to businesses of all sizes across the towns and villages in the Borough and is a great gift idea for residents to purchase for friends and family, promoting the idea of people shopping locally.
Customers simply load the card with any amount of money which will be redeemable in any of the retail, leisure and hospitality venues that have signed up to the scheme across the Borough. Any business based in the Borough can be included.
Cabinet Lead for the Economy Cllr Derek Pretty said:
‘The Borough Gift Card is a fantastic scheme for local businesses. The last 18 months have been challenging for our business community and we want to continue to show them the support they need to thrive again, by encouraging people to support their high street by shopping locally.’
Businesses in the Borough can still sign up to be a part of the gift card scheme for free by registering here www.eastleigh.gov.uk/
