Eastleigh CID are appealing for sightings of a black sporty motorbike which has been seen at or near houses that have been burgled in Ashurst, West End, North Baddesley and Ampfield.
The appeal comes after a burglary at Winchester Road, Ampfield on Saturday, November 24.
Between 2 and 2.30pm, entry was forced to a property and jewellery was stolen. When the burglar alarm sounded, a witness saw the black motorbike on the drive of the house.
Stolen items include designer label anklets, cuff links, pendants, rings and wrist watches. The value of the stolen jewellery is about £3,000.
Eastleigh Detective Constable Stephen Ashe said:
“While rare, burglary can be very traumatic and results in items of sentimental value being stolen that can never be replaced.
“We would like to speak to anyone who can assist in identifying the black motorbike that has been seen at this and other incidents in the wider Southampton area in the last few weeks.”
Anyone with information about the motorbike or the burglaries is asked to contact DC Ashe at Eastleigh CID on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111.
