Your privacy is important to Eastleigh News. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
Collection of Personal Data
All web servers track basic information about their visitors. This information includes, but is not limited to, IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and referring pages. None of this information can personally identify specific visitors to this site. The information is tracked automatically by the server for routine administration and maintenance purposes.
No personal data collected by Eastleigh News, for example email addresses, is ever passed on to any third party.

We try our best to keep your Personal Data safe. We use safe protocols (such as HTTPS) for communication and transferring data. Our systems are monitored for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Logging into Eastleigh News
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
