Lakeside toilet block set on fire

Lakeside toilets
Police are appealing for witnesses after the male toilet block at Lakeside Country Park park was set on fire at around 2pm on Saturday September 20. .

Officers would particularly like to speak to a woman who alerted the park’s staff to the fire, as her details were not taken and she is a vital witness.

DC Kat Grimmett who is investigating said:

“This appeal is for anyone who may have been at the Country Park at the time-did you see someone acting suspiciously around the toilet area?”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Grimmett, at Southampton by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.

The men’s toilet was still out of action today while being cleaned up.

The fire was confined to the gents and the ladies and disabled are open as usual.
