New site notice at Sovereign Drive

Residents have another chance to object to, or comment on Eastleigh’s local plan after the Council posted notices at over 40 sites in the Borough that have been earmarked for potential development as part of the plan’s Strategic Growth Options (SGO_.

This follows an exchange of letters between the Council and the Government Inspector who is preparing to examine the plan, after it emerged that the council did not post public notices on all the sites identified in the Local Plan during the Regulation 19 stage public consultation.

As part of a new 6-week consultation process, the notices give residents up to June 21 to respond and all representations will be considered. Each submission should be site specific but there is space on the downloadable response form for residents to comment on the Local Plan in general and to indicate whether or not they think it is sound.

The form can be downloaded from here
