The Spitfires have secured another excellent away result against fellow promotion candidate’s Farnborough.
Eastleigh was behind within six minutes of the game but never gave up and had the determination to claim all three points with goals from Tommy Jordan on the 15th minute and also ex Farnborough player Tony Taggart who scored the winning goal on the 77th.
Gareth Barfoot had another fantastic game in goal saving an almost unstoppable shot.
Ian Baird’s Spitfires has now achieved eighth place in the Blue Square Bet South table and are only three points away from that all important play-off spot.
Eastleigh are back at the Silverlake Stadium on Monday January 3; after two very good results away they will host Hampshire rivals Havant and Waterlooville
The Hawks, currently 13th in the league, have won four matches on thier travels this season.
The last time Eastleigh met Havant in the league was on August 30 when Chris Holland scored a last second equalizer with the last kick of the game.
Eastleigh have five ex Havant players but only four are available due to Brett Poate’s injurie still causing pain in the Spitfire’s defence.
Manager Ian Baird also used to managed Havant and Waterlooville along side assistant manager Matt Gray.
